Robbie Fowler
Yet another footballer who left an impression of incredible potential, Fowler was a phenomenal Liverpudlian player who scored a whopping 183 goals in 369 appearances. Unfortunately, after a derby-day collision with Everton goalkeeper Thomas Mhyre in 1998, things would never be the same for the staunch up-and-comer. Fowler insists that he could have gone on to become “the best in the world”, and it’s not hard to see why he might think that. He had already set several records during his fledgling career, but that fateful day in 1998 made him lose whatever spark he previously had.
